Elementary Education
Our elementary program is a tuition-free, public charter school, serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We accept students from the Denver metro area, including Denver, Aurora, Commerce City and beyond.
Children’s House (Kindergarten)
Monarch’s elementary journey begins in Children’s House, a Montessori classroom serving students ages 3-6, including kindergarten. In this mixed-age environment, children learn through hands-on exploration, purposeful work, and meaningful interactions with their peers. Kindergartners take on leadership roles within the classroom, building confidence and independence while helping to guide younger students.
First through Fifth Grade
Montessori classrooms group children by grades. Lower Elementary includes first through third graders, and Upper Elementary is for those in fourth and fifth grade. The approach for this age group recognizes that children are driven by reason, imagination, and curiosity, and supports their needs for movement, group work, and the development of independence.

In the Classroom
Elementary classrooms are active, engaging learning environments where lessons are often presented in small groups. Teachers guide students as they explore new concepts, pursue their interests, and develop the skills to learn independently.

Comprehensive Curriculum
Students engage in a rich curriculum that includes language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, culture, and the arts. Montessori materials and hands-on experiences help students build deep understanding while allowing teachers to personalize learning to each child's strengths and interests.

Independent Exploration
Students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning through independent and collaborative projects, research, and problem-solving. Working individually and in small groups, they develop creativity, responsibility, and the confidence to tackle increasingly complex challenges.
