Monarch Montessori of Denver’s elementary and middle schools are free, public school options offered through Denver Public Schools.
Monarch’s elementary and middle school programs are tuition-free Denver Public Schools charter schools and participate in the DPS SchoolChoice enrollment process. Non-Denver residents are welcome to apply too!

Round 1 of SchoolChoice Opens in Early December
Families that would like to enroll their student in elementary school for the 2027-28 school year can complete an application through DPS SchoolChoice when Round 1 opens in early December. Keep scrolling to learn more about this SchoolChoice process, and well as our forthcoming middle school.
Enrollment for 2026-27
Monarch Montessori has limited spots available in our elementary program in the 2026-27 school year. If you’re interested in enrolling, contact our front office at 303-712-2001 or email info@monarchm.com.
Middle School Expansion
Our new middle school program will open for the 2028-29 school year as a tuition-free, public charter school. We'll enroll sixth-grade students for August 2028, followed by seventh graders in 2029 and eighth graders in 2030.
SchoolChoice & Enrollment
Monarch Montessori is a Denver Public Schools charter school and participates in the DPS SchoolChoice enrollment process. Through SchoolChoice, families can rank their preferred schools and programs, including Monarch, and are matched based on their preferences and available seats. We encourage interested families to learn more about our elementary and middle schools, attend a tour, and submit a SchoolChoice application during the enrollment window.
