About Monarch

Located in the Denver’s Montbello community, Monarch fully embraces diversity and inclusion as we foster whole-child development for students of all backgrounds.

Get to Know Monarch

Monarch Montessori of Denver was developed in 2010 by a group of dedicated Montessorians and educators looking to bring a unique design into practice, with the vision of creating a stable environment in which a child could continue growth within the Montessori practice.

Today, the school is proud to offer programs for infancy through fifth grade, with a middle school launching in 2028. We offer a dual-language (Spanish/English) path in both First Steps and the elementary school. Our school is located on five acres of property, with the largest outdoor learning program in all of Denver Public Schools!

Our Strategic Plan

Building on the success of our dual-language and outdoor education programs, which have become pillars of our school’s mission, Monarch’s Governing Board of Directors embarked on a strategic planning process in August 2023. This plan outlines the school’s direction for 2024 to 2029 and shares how we plan to grow to continue best serving our community.

Our Mission

Monarch Montessori offers all families who seek it a vibrant, diverse learning community where children of all backgrounds thrive through a high-quality Montessori education, optional bilingual programming, and immersive outdoor experiences.
